The fees listed below are intended as a guideline only. Costs vary depending on the specific nature and complexity of each case. At Templar, we prioritize transparency; therefore, we will put together a full costing and proposal for your approval before any investigative work is carried out. This ensures you have a clear understanding of the investment required with no hidden surprises.

Common Fee Structures and Costs

Standard Rates

  • Hourly Rate: Generally £100+ per hour

Surveillance Rates

Urban Areas

  • Initial 4-Hour Block: £450

  • Extended Hourly Rate: £65

Rural Areas

  • Initial 4-Hour Block: £499

  • Extended Hourly Rate: £75

  • Extended Surveillance Packages

  • 40-Hour Package: £2,600 – £3,000 (Location dependent)

     

Specialist Services

  • Tracing & Background Checks: Roughly £75 – £200, depending on the depth of the search.

  • Vehicle Tracking: From £72 per day.

Process Serving Fees

  • Standard Process Serving – 3-7 day turnaround – £150 – £250 depending on complexity.
  • Urgent same day serving – £150 – £400 depending on the area/complexity.
  • Urgent same day serving long distance – £75 per hour + 45p per mile

Additional Expenses

Operational costs often include necessary disbursements such as:

  • Mileage and parking

  • Flights
  • Trains
  • Taxi's

  • Accommodation (for overnight or long-distance cases)

  • Subsistence 

 

  • Several variables can affect the final investment required for your case:

  • Location: Our operational costs are typically higher in major cities like London compared to rural areas.

  • Case Complexity: Complicated, long-term surveillance or investigations requiring multiple operatives will influence the total fee.

  • Retainers: Unless you are an account client, we will require a prepayment or retainer before work commences.
